Muse Image is Meta Superintelligence Labs' first in-house AI image generator, built into the Meta AI app, meta.ai, WhatsApp direct messages, and Instagram Stories for everyday consumers who want to create and edit images for free. Unlike typical prompt-to-pixel models, it works agentically—calling its own search and coding tools mid-generation, checking its output, and revising before returning a result, which lets it render legible styled text and functional QR codes and compose from multiple reference images. It replaces Meta's prior reliance on third-party models from Midjourney and Black Forest Labs and tags outputs with an invisible Content Seal watermark.
