OpenDataMCP

OpenDataMCP is an open-source project that connects public open datasets to LLM applications (starting with Claude Desktop) through the Model Context Protocol, so you can query real data like train-network disruptions directly inside a chat. It's built for developers and open-data publishers: a two-command CLI (odmcp) sets up MCP servers in a couple of clicks, while contributors use Python templates and Pydantic-typed Tools/Resources to publish new datasets. Its differentiator is the dual focus on both accessing open data and providing a community distribution network to publish it.
